Thanks for Coming Home to Nyack!

A big thank you to those who took the time and effort to attend Homecoming 2008—truly a weekend that will long be remembered. And congratulations to the classes of  ‘53, ‘58, ‘63, ‘68, ‘73, ‘78, ‘83, ‘88, ‘93, ‘98 and ‘03 who celebrated a reunion year.  If you were unable to make it back, you can still get a glimpse of the gathering, compliments of adjunct professor Andres Valenzuela and the students in his Digital Photography 101 class.

A major highlight of the weekend was observing the 40th anniversary of the loss of Nyack alumni who served as missionaries during the Vietnam War. More than a dozen relatives of those seven courageous men and women who were martyred joined Nyack faculty, staff, students, and alumni to pay tribute. Our keynote speaker for Founder’s Day Chapel was retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral R. Timothy Ziemer, a 1965 Nyack alumnus and son of martyr, R. Nathan Ziemer (’41).

Be blessed by the photos, speeches, and special tributes from a Homecoming weekend people are still talking about!

Don’t forget to check back from time to time and see how God is enlarging our borders and expanding our friendships. I think you’ll come away like me…

Proud to be a Nyack Warrior!
